Introducing the CercleS ADAPT Focus Group:
Accessibility, Diversity, Assessment, and Pedagogical Transformation In Language Education
This introductory webinar will present the aims, scope and upcoming activities of the CercleS ADAPT Focus Group, whose opening meeting will take place on 10 September 2026 at the University of Rome “Foro Italico”.
The webinar is designed as a preparatory event inviting academic teachers, language educators, researchers and language centre professionals to learn about the Focus Group’s mission and to consider participating in the Rome meeting.
The session will introduce the conceptual framework of ADAPT, which brings together four key dimensions shaping contemporary language education: Accessibility, Assessment, Diversity and Pedagogical Transformation.
The coordinators will outline the rationale behind the initiative in the context of growing diversity in higher education and the increasing need to ensure inclusive and accessible language teaching and assessment.
