Overview of the training content
The training programme comprises two core modules and three elective modules.
Core Module 1 addresses issues linked to the role of the teacher in the language classroom
Key learning outcomes
Participants will be able to reflect on and further develop their identity as language teachers by
- identifying their beliefs and values regarding teaching
- managing self-development strategies
- identifying and implementing resources enhancing their strengths and fostering development
- integrating social agency in teaching
- incorporating real-life tasks and social issues
- reflecting on their teaching practice
Core Module 2 addresses issues linked to constructive alignment in the language classroom
Key learning outcomes
Participants will be able to reflect on and further develop their identity as language teachers by using constructive alignment and
- reflecting and applying it to the teaching role of an educator
- reflecting and applying it to the teaching role of an assessor
- reflecting and applying it to the teaching role of a coach
You will choose one elective module of 6 hours from three options. All three elective modules will explore key challenges in language teaching. They have been carefully selected to address some of the most pressing challenges in language teaching today.
